The West Texas Writers’, Incorporated (WTW) is an IRS tax-exempt (501) (c-3), non-profit Texas corporation, based in Midland, Texas. The WTW’s objective is to advise, assist, help and promote learning and support among writers, journalists, photographers, poets, artists, illustrators, advertising copyists, publishers and editors in all media. These individuals may be presently working for, seeking to work for, or independently selling their work products to local, state, national and international publishers or media, or who are studying to acquire the knowledge and skills for such work.

The West Texas Writers are able to provide advice, assistance and help to writers, journalists, photographers, poets, artists, illustrators, advertising copyists, publishers and editors during and after the creation and development of magazine articles, children’s stories, non-fiction publications, novels, poems, plays, screenplays, travel guides and other documents of general interest. WTW’s primary focus is to individuals living in the Permian Basin of West Texas. Other areas may be considered if appropriate interest warrants WTW’s focus on these areas, as long as those work products are addressed to the general reading public.

We usually meet on the first Saturday of each month from September – May, unless holidays conflict with those days. We try to choose meeting locations convenient for our WTW members and guests.  Our meeting announcements are sent out to several media contacts in the Permian Basin, announcing our meeting locations. However, please contact us at (432) 634-0139 or info@westtexaswriters.org for more information.

We invite you to join us and help build one of the premier writers groups in the nation. Please visit our To Join page for more information.
